Green Energy Options is a new business that started out in the Cambridge area supported by the East of England Development Agency.
We currently run our development in the Cambridge area and will soon be establishing a logistics and installation base in the Daventry region. We are dedicated to helping people use energy more efficiently in their premises, to cut carbon emissions and to convert to renewable energy sources.
Patrick Caiger-Smith

Paddy is a founder, has been MD of four businesses over 15 years mostly in this industry sector. He provides experience in general management, sales management and product development in mechanical and electrical manufacturing businesses. He is MBA qualified.
Simon Anderson
CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER
Simon is a founder, and following a successful career in the Royal Navy has extensive experience in procurement and change programme management. He ran his own business for 3 years and for the last 5 years has been delivering change management projects. He is MBA qualified.
Sam Sykes
CHIEF TECHNOLOGY OFFICER
Sam has headed web service teams since 1996 and is a specialist in data manipulation and exploitation. Past projects include two different UK property portals and search engines, interactive city guide portal and search engine and mobile telephone tracking solution.
Paul Hebden
CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER
Paul has 10 years experience of working at Board level in a variety of businesses across a number of different sectors. A Chartered Management Accountant, Paul is working part time for GEO and his experience includes re-financing, turnaround work, treasury management, cost and financial accounting.
Ed Luck
NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
Ed, currently Marketing Director for an international AIM listed company, has extensive knowledge of taking consumer propositions to market and of brand management.
Karl Cook
PROJECT MANAGER
Karl is our Carbon Connections Trial Project Manager. After a 12 year naval career he has worked for various blue chip companies. Past projects include introducing new business processes for clinical trials and implementation of a new professional services business model. He is MBA qualified.
David Hardcastle
SENIOR SOFTWARE DEVELOPER
Dave has worked as a systems architect, developer and project manager in a wide range of contexts including the voluntary sector, a City-based consultancy, and academic research in computing and natural language.
Hannah Tydeman
MARKETING & COMMUNITY ENERGY
Hannah has recently completed an MA in Marketing and Innovation. Having completed her Undergraduate Sociology Degree in 2006 she worked in Media Sales for a year in London before deciding to go back to University. Whilst studying for her Masters Hannah worked as an Office Manager and Marketing Assistant.
Clara Smith
BUSINESS SUPPORT MANAGER
Clara has recently joined us to take over the role of Office Manager. Having previously worked as a project co-ordinator, Clara brings a wealth of experience which will further help us improve and manage our internal procedures. Clara has represented the UK in equine disciplines and aims to compete in the Olympics trap shooting.

Claire is ensuring that Green Energy Options customers receive excellent customer services from us. She has 17 years experience in this area in retail, catering, telecoms and domestic installations.
John Petty
SURVEY AND INSTALLATION MANAGER
John is a qualified electrician with several years experience behind him. A few years ago he moved into contract and project management within the electrical industry before changing direction in 2005 into the energy efficiency industry. He joined GEO in Autumn 2008.
Martin Krcho
SOFTWARE ENGINEER
Martin is our PHP developer who graduated from Slovak University of Technology with a computer science degree. He worked as a web developer during his studies. Martin moved over to Cambridge in Autumn 2008 and started with GEO soon after.
